Photography of J.P. Eggleston

A little back story...

I’ve been chasing the horizon with a camera for as long as I can remember. I grew up traveling across Texas, visiting family in places that felt like completely different worlds. The landscape, the space, the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere—it all stuck with me. As soon as I could drive, I hit the road with a camera and never really stopped.

It all became more serious when I began taking photography classes in high school, kept going in college, and over the years I’ve driven all over the U.S., documenting what I see and how it makes me feel. Being on the road clears my head. It’s where I feel the most free. Honestly, the more lost I get, the better. And no matter how far I go, Texas always pulls me back. It’s where I started, and it’s still where I feel most at home.
